Vegan Stuffed pizza pinwheEls

Simple and delicious appetizer or snack thats perfect for the big game, for any party or for a fun kids dinner where they can help make their meal. Play around with ingredients to make it your own!

Ingredients

1 roll crescent roll dough (Immaculate Baking or Pilsbury)

1 cup pizza sauce or tomato sauce

2 cloves of garlic, minced

1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, chopped

1 vegan sausage (Field Roast apple sage), crumbled

1 cup mozzarella shreds (So Delicious, Miyokos, Daiya, etc)

Spray avocado or olive oil

Instructions

Preheat oven to 375.

Roll out crescent roll dough and pinch seems together to seal.

Spread minced garlic and basil onto surface.

Evenly spread sauce on top of garlic and basil.

Sprinkle crumbled sausage over sauce.

Sprinkle mozzarella shreds over the top of sausage.

Roll tightly and carefully lengthwise.

Using a sharp knife, cut into 1/2 inch (at smallest) to 1 inch sections. Should make 9 pinwheels total.

Place carefully on a parchment paper or silicone lined cookie sheet about 1 inch apart.

Bake for 15 minutes or until golden.

Serve hot.

Heat leftovers in a toaster oven to retain the crisp crust.
