Vegan apple pie bites
Super simple vegan dessert option that's perfect for a pot luck or to bring to a family gathering. These are scrumptious little hand held pies that are sure to please any apple pie fan.
Ingredients
1 roll of Pillsbury crescent rolls
1 Granny Smith apple
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 tsp pumpkin pie spice
3 tbsp Earth Balance vegan butter
1/3 cup chopped pecans
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375.
Mix spice and sugar together, set aside.
Melt butter.
Peel apple and slice into 1/4 inch thin slices; place slices in melted butter.
Unroll crescent roll dough and separate.
For each roll, sprinkle with sugar mixture, top with chopped pecans, add one slice of butter dipped apple.
Start rolling at the wider end; roll until closed.
Place on a parchment lined cookie sheet. Brush with melted butter and sprinkle a little pumpkin spice on top.
Bake for 10 minutes, until golden.
Enjoy warm or room temperature.
