vegan air fried crispy tofu

Since getting an air fryer, over the holiday, I have discovered how awesome it is to cook with little to no oil and have been experimenting the many ways to make the most delicious and crispy veggies and soy products. Baked goods will be the next thing I tackle in the fryer. This recipe will help you make the crispiest tofu, using just a little spray oil!

Ingredients

1 block extra firm tofu

Olive oil spray

Pink salt

Lemon pepper

Garlic powder

Onion powder

Instructions

Drain tofu block and place on a paper towel or clean dish towel lined plate.

Sit aside for 30 minutes.

Cut the block halfway down the middle then into small cubes.

Into the air fryer basket, add tofu, spray with olive oil (enough to LIGHTLY coat - shake once) and seasonings (desired amount).

Close air fryer and cook on 370 for 30 minutes.

Toss basket three times during cooking, once every 10 minutes.

Once tofu is golden, pull out and serve. You want the outside to be firm/crisped.

Serve with steamed veggies or any other air fried veggies. You can also toss with BBQ sauce or buffalo sauce; I dipped mine in Trader Joes sweet chili sauce.
