Vegan halloween candy

As you may know, there are a bunch of “accidentally vegan” candies that have been around for years. There are also a bunch of great healthier versions of candy to choose from, as well. I’ve put together a list of some of the vegan candy you can indulge in this spooky season. I’ve linked direct shopping links, of all of the Halloween sized versions of the candy, at the bottom of the list.

  1. Skittles - the classic vegan friendly candy you can get anywhere, any time of the year. All flavors are vegan friendly (sour, classic, tropical, etc.).

  2. Airheads - another year-round find that’s “accidentally vegan” and have tons of amazing flavors (white mystery being the best, obviously).

  3. Unreal brand - perfect if you love chocolate but don’t want to be forced to only have plain dark chocolate. They do have candy that contains milk but you can get your hands on these vegan options: crispy quinoa, peanut dark gems, peanut butter cups and dark chocolate almond.

  4. Twizzler - not my jam but I know people who love these licorice type “strawberry” flavored ropes.

  5. Eating Evolved - they are widely popular and known as the “Primal Chocolate Bars” in the black packaging. They have coconut butter cups, dark chocolate, flavored dark chocolate bars, etc.

  6. Justins - dark chocolate peanut butter cups… yummmm. Always a favorite of mine!

  7. Swedish Fish - the multi color packs are my favorite over the all red ones.

  8. Smart Sweets - this brand has emerged as the low sugar and high fiber candy that is pretty much guilt free. You get your daily fiber in one portioned our pouch. They have non-vegan options so make sure to grab the ones that are clearly labeled “plant based” in the top corner. The Sour Buddies (healthy version of SPK’s), the sweet fish (like Swedish Fish) and the peach o’s (my personal favorite) are vegan friendly and tasty!!

  9. Smarties - another accidentally vegan sour and sweet candy that had always been vegan.

  10. Glee Gum - reminiscent of blow pops but made with better ingredients!

  11. Sour Patch Kids - mmm, I like to have one orange and one red together. Sometimes, at the movies, I’ll get a few skittles and a few sour patch kids and mix one of each.

  12. Yum Earth - can be found at Wholefoods and has great ingredients! Lollipops, fruit snacks and hard candies are great. Check the label though, there are a few non-vegan options from this brand.

  13. Dots - gelatin-free and vegan friendly!

  14. Now and Laters - these make me nervous because I’ve nearly cracked a tooth as a kid but, if you can find fresh ones, the flavor of these are PHENOMENAL!

  15. Enjoy Life - this brand makes amazing allergen friendly and vegan treats. They have rice milk bars, ones that resemble a Crunch bar and a few other dairy-free options!

  16. Dum-Dums - those little suckers (literally little) are vegan friendly!

  17. Wholesome fruit chews - go to the bulk bin area at most Wholefoods and you’ll be able to find these Starburst looking chews. Perfect if you used to love Starburst’s (which are unfortunately not vegan). Wholesome brand also has a few other vegan candy options - look for “Surf Sweets”!

  18. Lemonheads - my fiancé’s favorite Candy is a tangy vegan treat!

  19. Chick-o-Stick - I love these! They taste like the inside of a Butterfinger. The texture is crunchy and peanut buttery.

  20. Mamba fruit chews - these have been a favorite of mine since I was a kid and are conveniently vegan! Smash a raspberry and an orange one together before you eat them, you won’t be disappointed.
